Good even by FiM standards

While it definitely feels more like a long episode than any sort of movie, it certainly delivers on being a fun outing without the sort of fate of the world stuff you'd expect from a 2-parter of FiM.

It pretty much perfectly nails the formula and manages to keep some tension in the narrative despite its slice-of-life nature. In fact, I'd quite confidently say this has the best characterization of its main characters the series has to offer.

If there's one issue, it's that the characters Pinkie meets on her adventure feel...very out of place, with cheesy voices and dialog like they were from a generation 3 special, but thankfully they aren't a big focus of what's going on.
