I loved this show through season 6. Season 7 just ruined it for me. The characters didn't stay true to form. Liza became self righteous, silly, and insufferable. I couldn't stand her by the end. It was clear we were supposed to be all "women power!" at the finale but it was just a huge let down. I get it, men are bad and women don't need them apparently. Why even let us get invested in these relationships just to ruin them. The final season was just incredibly annoying and went against the entire spirit of the show. There's a reason why studies show that single, professional women in their thirties and forties are the unhappiest people on earth and this show exemplifies it.
If I never hear the word mansplaining again it will be too soon.
I'm not sure that I, a 45 year old woman, is their target demo but if I am they really messed up. The only character that stayed true and that I really enjoyed in the final season was Maggie. I liked Josh but they really underutilized him, he barely existed in it.
Such a shame. Such a disappointment. Stop watching at season 6 and just pretend there is a happily ever after.
