The USS Nimitz in 1980 runs into a vortex at sea; the captain initially suspects war, although he's picking up Jack Benny on the air! Time-transport adventure sends the officers and crew back to Pearl Harbor in 1941, just prior to the attack by the Japanese. Intriguing science-fiction premise from four screenwriters (David Ambrose, Gerry Davis, Thomas Hunter and Peter Powell) makes for a fascinating if awesomely-extended B-budget epic.
