The title might make it sound like a sci-fi or horror flick, but "The Frogmen" is a no-nonsense look at a specialized branch of the armed forces during WWII. The US Navy's Underwater Demolition Teams had the duty of taking on Japanese forces from beneath the surface. In this Academy Award-nominated movie, it's a life-or-death situation.
As often happens in these movies, there's tension amongst the characters, even as they all move closer to their goal. The vessel's leadership will change over the course of the movie, but the men have their orders nonetheless. All sorts of impressive stuff, if a little overboard on the patriotic tendencies.
