Very Depressing, Very Little Information
25 August 2021
As a film this really didn't have a purpose? A little confused by the high rating. I was bored throughout.

We are presented with a single father to a young boy who's dying. Not sure of what as it's never discussed. I assume cancer. Father spends the entire film visiting different Foster and adopted families trying to find the right home for his son.

My problem with the film was there was very little dialogue, the film relied heavily on facial expressions to speak for themselves. The father didn't discuss with his son what was going on.

Just a strange film. Felt like it should of been a short rather than a film due to a lack of dialogue, information or even a beginning, middle and ending.

James Norton is a very talented versatile actor, so I was disappointed with this film, just for the lack of anything really.

Definitely stay away from this if you are feeling remotely depressed because it's just so very sombre and melancholy for the sake of it.

I'd like to know the true story it's based upon so I can gather some understanding of what I watched that wasn't portrayed into film. Confused.
