Sorry for mini-spoiler, but reading the book spoiled the series for me. Not because they we were the same, but because they were so different. I was turned off by the "Hollywood" of the series. However, Melissa McCarthy absolutely sparkled. All of the actors were brilliant but she really lit up the screen.
