Review of The Catch

The Catch (2020)
5/10
you wont find a darker drama...

Than this anywhere else than on the nortseastcoast USA, where lobsterfisherman has tapped the lobster goldfiels years ago and everyone struggles to survive. Add to that a homecoming daughter with the rucksack and bellyline full of problems, then you have a story to tell...

its a film made on pure old methodics, no drone zone all over, and a clap for that. But its a film that merely happens in a dark shadow land, with loads of high contrasts and not the best of dark filming quality in the environments that this tale is taken from . But apart from this fumbling in the dark its an ok production.

The story though, that has loads of realism to it, bitter and sad as it is, is not plotted in the most favourable way, and the acting is just above average, though not many glitches. Its also told in a flashback kind of way that may confuse a grumpy old man whos darkvision is fading faster than the equatorial dawn, therefore just a medium 5 for the catch.
