This film made me feel so cold. The freezing, bleak scenery was captured perfectly and transported me right into the misery of the boys on Bastoy.
Some great performances and powerful storytelling. It's not a film I'll forget in a while. It's not always easy to watch. In fact, it's decidedly depressing but it has some special moments along the way and you can't help but root for some of the characters.
I was immediately drawn into this film and captivated throughout. It's particularly heartbreaking and gripping, along with being well written. Parts of it reminded me of a Norwegian Cool Hand Luke.
Norway makes great films and this would be among the best.
