Tremors 4: The Legend Begins (2004) is currently available on Tubi and depicts legendary Perfection, Nevada during its early settlement days. The city makes a living as a mining town which has a new owner who just arrived; unfortunately for him, an underground monster has emerged and scared all the miners away. If he hopes to capitalize on his investment the new owner will need to rid the mines, and its surroundings, from its recent infestation.

This movie is directed by S. S. Wilson (Tremors 2) and stars Michael Gross (Family Ties), Sara Botsford (Ride), Billy Drago (The Untouchables), August Schellenberg (Black Robe), Don Ruffin (Sometimes they Come Back) and Ming Lo (Jarhead).

The settings in this actually worked for me and was fun and has an obvious intention to not take itself too seriously. Burt's arrival to town is a great scene, hilarious and well done. I loved the new characters and how they were depicted. The special effects are more inline with the first film's special effects and less CGI than the previous sequels. The "Fred's Burial" scene is classic and one that always makes me laugh out loud.

Overall this is an entertaining picture that does a good job of not taking itself too seriously (so you shouldn't either). I would score this a 5.5/10 and recommend seeing it once.
