Review of Nurse

Nurse (2013)

Nurse (2013) is a movie I recently watched on HBOMAX. The storyline follows a nurse by day and serial killer by night. She lures cheating men into sexual encounters and then they're never seen again. When she falls for one of the new nurses who join the staff she will need to manage her obsession and her hobby.

This movie is directed by Douglas Aarniokoski (Highlander: End Game) and stars Paz de la Huerta (Enter the Void), Katrina Bowden (Tucker and Dale vs Evil), Judd Nelson (Breakfast Club), Kathleen Turner (Serial Mom), Niecy Nash (Reno 911), Corbin Bleu (Galaxy Quest) and Boris Kodjoe (Resident Evil Afterlife).

The storyline for this is what I wanted Promising Young Woman to be. I loved the main character and her narration that displayed her wild perspectives throughout the movie. The kills and use of blood in this is very good. There's plenty of nudity throughout the movie, nothing left to the imagination. The acting is very solid and everyone fit their characters well. They did make hospitals seem like a frat house a little with everyone dating and sleeping with each other. The storyline unfolds well and there's a good twist at the end.

Overall this movie is underrated and I'm not sure why the reviews are so bad. I would score this a 7/10 and recommend seeing it once.
