6/10
Unconventional Thriller with a Typical Hollywood Ending
7 March 2022
Really, this not a bad movie. In fact, it's sort of clever and draws the viewer in. There are a few twists and turns you may not see coming and, just as importantly, things you may expect that don't happen. The writing is clever, the acting good and the pacing is just right. So why not rate it higher than a six? Two reasons.

First, there are thee scenes set at ancient historic sites that just kind of appear to be available to the main characters. No other tourists. No security. And it makes the viewer sort of wince. That's not good, but it's not the deal killer the standard 'Code' type ending throws at us.

You'll be left with an empty feeling at the end of the film and that's a shame. There's a lot to like here, but the quick tidying up of all the lose ends and the main story line in the last three minuets is a major disappointment.
