I don't mind crude humor and I love Big Mouth, but if you don't like that kind of humor this is definitely not the show for you. Some of the other reviews complain that the characters aren't likable, but I actually enjoy when the characters are unlikeable (like Arrested Development, It's Always Sunny, etc) so I didn't mind, but by the end of the season we definitely start to see the beginnings of some character development. The show definitely falls short in some places and goes a little to the extreme even for a Big Mouth spin-off, but the second half of the series has lots of good, even touching moments. I agree with the reviews that compare it to a raunchier, adult version of Inside Out. I thought the last episode was over the top with gore which was completely unnecessary to the story and did not make for any good jokes like it was attempting to do. It definitely falls short in a lot of places, but there is still potential for it to find its footing if it gets renewed for more seasons.
