Brooklyn is a pretty charming film. It's not something I think I'd find myself watching again but it was enjoyable enough. I feel most of the scenes that I enjoyed were all in the trailer. The two love interests I liked a fair bit, even if it occasionally felt like most of their scenes I'd already seen in other films (or the trailer).
I didn't really care for the other plot points beyond the romance. I found Ellis's decision whether she should stay in Brooklyn or go back to Ireland again predictable. As well as the 'love triangle' just not executed well.
I wasn't expecting much tho, after all my only reasoning for watching it was Saiorse Ronan so. But still it was a pretty sweet film that I kinda needed at the time. I'm glad I watched it even if I won't be returning to it.
