I really liked the first series. A real Philip K. Dick feel about it and the rotoscoping helped to serve the surreality of the show. To be honest, didn't really feel like it needed a second series but I was looking forward to it nonetheless.
Boy, do I appear to be in a small minority here but the second series was a total yawnfest. We went from Philip K. Dick to Spanish 'Days of our Lives'. Honestly, Dr Drake Ramoray would not have been out of place in this series.
Reading the gushing reviews, it would appear that lots of people are extremely easily satisfied emotionally and also easily manipulated. This was no Bojack voyage of discovery. This was just telling you THESE THINGS ARE IMPORTANT and hoping that you didn't notice that they weren't really all that and that the right to care enough hadn't been earnt.
So, great first series and don't bother watching the second. You can guess how it's going to play out and there's nothing to make it worth investing the time to watch it.
