Bloody hell - that's Ronnie Corbett!!!
7 October 2022
A surprising gem, with a bizarrely star-studded cast, the plot manages to wring a lot of laughs from what should be a dark and macabre store.

Simon Pegg and Andy Serkis are clearly enjoying themselves (and let's face it, so is everyone else). The terms 'gallows humour' definitely applies here.

I almost fell off my seat when Ronnie Corbett showed up as captain of the militia, filled with pompous righteousness. There are more cameos by famous (mostly British) stars than I can name.

The quality of John Landis' direction raises this above where it should exist. Rarely have I seen a film about a pair of murderers that left me with a feel-good grin on my face.
