A journey of two brothers that started from grief and ended in hope. Danny's evolution through their journey, his imagination, Ody's step to adulthood; the journey transcends from the plain of reality and steps to the plain of surrealism achieving tender moments of brotherly love and affection, while also stepping in the twisted and very real issues of the Greek society's reality of misanthropy, hate and government sanctioned xenophobia.
Unfortunately, the abundance of dull or superficial dialogues and interactions throughout the movie - a lot of which angst and teen spirit cannot justify - made it difficult to keep up with / stay focused on and disrupted the flow of the film.
About the ending, I do wanted to to know more about what happened next; did the meet up with Vicky the next day, did Odysseus finally started chasing his singing passion, did Danny meet with the other boy at Alexandra? Maybe at the end a lot of it was Danny's imagination and we are seeing it through his phone photos. Maybe they won't get the nationality validation and maybe they will return to Tasos, but at the end of the day they had hope for their future and they had each other so I guess it's better this way, no one ever knows.
