( no spoilers, I always mark it that way)
This show takes place in 1995. I was 18 years old, born in June of 1977. This show did not remind me of the 1990s. However, it did have some funny moments. Last few episodes were really good but the rest just seemed like a teen flick from today not the 1990s. "That 70's Show" was awesome. It was funny, made sense for the time period it was in, the writing was good etc., This show just seemed like it was trying so hard to be current (to attract audiences, I guess) yet trying also to hold to the nostalgia of the original show and in doing that it lost the theme of the actual 1990s.
If there's a 2nd season, it should feel like you're in the 1990s with the nostalgia of the 1970s with current issues slightly wrapped in. Otherwise, this just seemed like a poor version of "That 70's Show" and that show already exists; we don't a second one. As I said: this had it's funny parts throughout the season but overall, it just wasn't really my cup of tea.
