They made Phil and his brother-in-law such reprehensible characters with virtually no redeeming qualities. In spite of excellent acting by the leads, it's hard to care about any of them, even Evelyn is merely pitiable. Not worth watching a show where you couldn't care less about anyone.
In spite of the "ground-hog day" (the film) nature of the show, Phil never seems to improve his behaviour, showing over and over again that all he cares about is himself.
I really wanted to like this show, but I never liked Patrick J. Adams all that much on Suits, (fun fact, my sister worked on that show in Toronto) In this show I despise his character Phil, just as Evelyn does. They don't do a good job of selling the fact that she has reasons to love him.
