By far this is the best D&D movie to date, however it still misses the mark. The movie is well acted. It has a solid story line and a decent script. It is a bit over the top in its whimsical approach. This doesn't make it a bad movie, but given the cast and integrity to the game, it had the potential to be a bit more of an epic fantasy. The movie is fun and entertaining and is worth watching, even on the big screen. There is adequate back story development for most of the main characters, giving depth and allowing further character development. I am looking to further movies and series based on the game...
