...I don't really know why. The show could also be called "weirder stuff" (credit to Rick and Morty), because that's what happens, all the time, weird stuff. Without any doubt Waltz performance is intriguing as always and I assume the main reason why I binge watched it. But I have to say that there is scenes where you think "what in the actual F just happened?" and "WHY THOUGH?!". I don't wanna spoil, so I just state it this way: you have to accept that some of the things that happen on the show keep unexplained and are odd/strange. If you're okay with that, go for it. If you want logical explanations for everything, don't watch...
Overall, the actors all do a great job, the plot keeps you wanna keep on watching. The show's atmosphere is somehow mystic, funny here and there with very dark, odd humor, but it's not a comedy. I wouldn't be able to put it in a specific genre.
