There's an irony that your parents called you Joy, perhaps because you give it, like an often played kids toy, as the days of fun and pleasure, don't come with the men you treasure, as they do their best to bother and annoy (that's when they're not locked up at her majesty's pleasure that is). The reality is you never had a chance, born into circumstance you never could enhance, villains, rogues and dodgy scoundrels, take advantage on naive girls, all they want to do is get inside your pants.

I thought Carol White was wonderful as the ironically named Joy; I wonder how many joyless people exist today in the same or similar scenarios all these years later.
