No actors or roles were harmed in the making of this film. Joel McCrea gives it his best shot, but the bland script and plot make any scenes too dramatic. First, a man is dragged around by a horse, then hired by the town leader to bring in a large herd of cattle. We follow the man on the trip he gets what he really wants; abject poverty. This was probably the silliest Western that the talented Joel McCrea ever selected for filming. There is no romance whatsoever in the film, and the violence is held to a minimum. It is a wonderful movie for strict Christians. However I am sure McCrea shuddered when he saw the rushes.
