So when I was a kid I read every book Jordan put out! I remember Jordan talking a LOT about his father and the things (including this Nike deal) that his father gave him a lot of advice on. I don't understand why Ben and Matt would change that? Wouldn't this be an incredible opportunity to show how empowering it is for a child to have a father figure in the household? Which is the story Jordan himself shared in the books? Why on earth would you want to change that? How unfortunate to tell the story this way.
As for the movie itself it's about as mediocre of a movie you can expect to see about 1 specific meeting about a shoe. Only for the hard core Jordan fan but be warned, the story is not the same story told 30 years ago.
