Magpie Funeral is hands down the best new movie I have seen this year. It has it all: failure and success, angst and love, rudeness and respect, sadness and humor. The acting was top notch, with Darren Burrows and Meredith Shank doing great performances. The actress who played the little girl won my heart. Gregory Green put together an A+ effort, coming off his award winning job on Three of a Kind. You can certainly see that Greg Green loves what he is doing. Applause Applause! The film was edited seamlessly. If I were to recommend just one movie for a person to see this year, it would be Magpie Funeral.
