I saw The Hill, starring Dennis Quaid-Strays, The Right Stuff; Colin Ford-Captain Marvel, Under the Dome_tv; Joelle Carter-Justified_tv, American Pie 2 and Scott Glenn-Daredevil_tv, The Right Stuff.
This movie is based on a true story of a young man in pursuit of a dream. Colin plays Rickey Hill, a Texas boy that loves baseball. Ever since he was able to hit a rock with a stick, he has dreamed of playing in the major leagues. The only problem was that he had to wear leg braces since he could walk because of a degenerative disease and everyone tells him that he is lucky to even be able to walk. Dennis and Joelle are his parents. Dennis is a preacher that wants Colin to follow in his footsteps-literally-and become a preacher and quit playing baseball before he hurts himself any worse. Colin just wants a chance to prove his abilities and when he does get that chance, Scott-a big time coach in the MLB-tells Colin that even though he can hit the ball, he can not run the bases. The real Rickey Hill is shown near the end of the movie and details are shown on what he is doing now.
It's rated PG for language and smoking and has a running time of 2 hours and 6 minutes.
It's not one that I would buy on DVD but if you like baseball, it is an emotional story that you should enjoy.
