The Long, Hot Summer TV series (65-66) was the best tv adaptation of Faulkner's story. In my opinion, Roy Thinnes was the best Ben Quick and Nancy Malone was the best Clara Varner. The scenes focused Ben and Clara were the most romantic and exciting scenes. All women watching them was melting seeing the chemistry between them, I know in those days Roy Thinnes have been receiving 1500 love letters from his female fans this proves the success of the series. The IMDB point is high, the ratings of the show was high, %91 of the Wikipedia users loved the show and Roy Thinnes is very handsome, sexy than Paul Newman and Don Johnsson I never ever understand why they cancelled the show. Women of the world adored this tv series. I wish I can find all 26 episodes. I wish Netflix remake it. RIP Nancy Malone.
