The title of this short film should be called 18 Minutes About Nothing! There is no storyline, a child is a murder and it then jumps to a man in a cab, dealing with various passengers. The ending is a couple having a conversation with a child seated between them. At which point they get out and he proceeds to crumble over and cry on the sidewalk. We don't know why the child was murdered and why. We don't know anything and none of these questions are answered! As far as emotion and grief it's a pathetic display to people who have really suffered this sort of tragedy. I mean a guy getting out of his cab crumbling over like he's got an appendix and crying on the sidewalk, really? What an insult to grieving families who've lost a child to violence. How this film could be nominated for anything but lame and disgusting is beyond me. It goes to show what a dumb down society we really have. I could have made a better film using my iPhone. At least come up with a better storyline. The 30 seconds of emotion displayed at the very end is ridiculous one minute he's sobbing the next he's getting up stoic faced driving his cab away. What in the hell was this supposed to be?
