Have heard much about this film throughout the years, but, haven't seen it until now & after this years mediocre remake.
Cady Heron is a hit with The Plastics, the A-list girl clique at her new school, until she makes the mistake of falling for Aaron Samuels, the ex-boyfriend of alpha Plastic Regina George.
I found the film to be pretty good, it's easily better than the Gen Z Remake of this year, which, to be fair, wasn't all that bad, but of course was too sanitised for my taste & found the 2004 version much more appealing.
The film unlike the remake, isn't a musical & what's more is shorter & to the point at 1 hour & 29 minutes (89 minutes) & has great pacing also without the annoying songs which hold the film up in the 2024 remake. There's some ace eye candy, ace humour & the actors do a great job with their roles. The story is good too.
Overall, it's the goat of the series easy & better than the 2024 remake. Give this a watch if you haven't already.
8/10.
