Watched both seasons, desperately hoping to find a single likeable character in this (OK, Ethan was pretty great but even he was hard to enjoy because it makes no sense that his husband would let him constantly abuse Rachael, especially in front of her child (who, equally inconsistently, loves both Ethan and Rachael), without saying a thing). Some great zany situations but the cast just kills everything because we simply don't care about any of them. If this had been Matt LeBlanc, Stephen Mangan, and Tamsin Greig it would have been dynamite (do yourself a favour and Google it).
Also the last episode just got really dumb - why involve Alice Cooper at all if you couldn't get him to play a cameo? It just highlights this embarrassing failure further and the old lady with the same name and Alice's pointless girlfriend are like plot lines a child would come up with. Wait, was this the irony I missed? That a show about unsuccessful writers was actually written by people who aren't any good at their jobs???? Mind. Blown.
