In the opening minutes I was a bit surprised to see an actor of the caliber of David Oyelowo in what seemed like a straightforward role in a straightforward short film.
Maybe I should have seen the twist coming but I didn't and the impact was all the more powerful.
From that point on it is a story about grief, as the former executive now a cab driver still manages to have considerable empathy for some of his passengers. Then he picks up a somewhat familiar family and in a second twist he is the recipient of empathy from an almost familiar face.
