If I remember correctly LOVE THY NEIGHBOUR was a very funny comedy but I'm only judging it from memory because you're just as likely to see TV stations broadcasting child porn as you are the original series due to the sensitive touchy feely people who produce and transmit television over the last couple of decades . But if they refuse to broadcast repeats of this Australian spin off it might be down to another reason - It's just not funny

LTN worked because of the character interaction between Eddie the bigoted white man and Bill the upwardly mobile black man . This version sees Eddie emigrate to Auistralia and you can understand the point the show is trying to make - Eddie is now the outsider and finds himself the victim of prejudice . But the major problem is the one that destroys this version and that is that Rudolph Walker as Bill does not appear in it . Imagine STAR TREK without any science fiction elements . Imagine DOCTOR WHO without monsters . Imagine a show from HBO that doesn't feature any type of adult content . That's how misguided this show is and despite its outdated use of racist language and situations the original series was funny . This spin off isn't
