The first episode to depict Jan as having some kind of a "problem." In fact, the depiction might have gone a little over the line. When Jan obviously "made up" George Glass, the whole thing had a creepy feel to it. Also, whatever went wrong between Jan and Clark Tyson was clearly in Jan's mind. Jan got upset because Clark noticed Marcia. Why would he not notice Marcia? Marcia was cute! When Clark told Mrs Brady that Jan didn't "look much" like a girl, that was pretty dumb. Jan looked cute when she put on her pretty dress, but it shouldn't have taken that to make this idiot notice her. I guess Jan's problem was a lack of self confidence. Well, something like that.

Jan is sad because she doesn't have a boyfriend so she invents one.
One of the best Jan episodes, many great scenes and good writing. It starts with her studying with Clark, a boy she has a crush on. Marcia enters and he flips for Jan's pretty sister. Then there is a scene between Jan and Marcia with Jan being hurt by Marcia's remarks. Jan thinks it may be her freckles but that turns out not to be true. Then it finally settles into a scene where she makes up a boyfriend named George Glass, she gets the idea when she spots a glass on the table. Some funny moments when she gets the operator to call the house and pretends she is talking to George.
