Mercy Me is from season two of Midnight Caller, one of my favorite TV dramas which sadly never got a DVD release. Anyway, here Bruce Weitz plays a police officer again following his role as another police officer in St. Elsewhere, but this time Bruce's character is clean shaven. This is a sad episode that was ahead of its time in tackling euthanasia and it does so in an way that doesn't scream at you.
