The Usual Bad Practice of Warner in the End of a Season
claudio_carvalho3 September 2016
The SG-1 travels to meet the Tok'ra and help them to move to another planet on board of the Goa'uld mother-ship they have taken. Tanith is surprised with the new and the Tok'ra leaders decide to disclose that they knew he was an Apophis spy. He is sentenced to death, but succeeds in fleeing and summons Apophis. The SG-1 decides to transfer the Tok'ra through the Stargate while Jacob Carter and the SG-1 hunt Tanith down. Sam and Jacob plot a scheme to get rid of Apophis and his ships, sending the Stargate to a sun to create a a black hole to drag them. However the plan does not work as planned and Teal'c is captured by Tanith that delivers him to Apophis. What will happen to the SG-1?

Warner has this bad practice to make good episodes to be concluded in the end of a season and "Exodus" is no exception. Fortunately I have all the collection on DVD and I will not have to wait for months to know the fate of Teal'c, the SG-1, Jacob and Apophis. My vote is eight.

Stuck with the enemy

Great cliffhanger ending and interesting storyline. The acting was decent and the sets/effects felt authentic. Good to see some loose strings being dealt with and kind of liking rogue Teal'c.

As Usual Talk Talk Talk
Easygoer101 August 2020
Warning: Spoilers
About half of this episode is people making threats. Of course Tanith (the Tokra spy) and Teal'c make stupid conversations about who is going to do whatever to whom. Obvioysly, he should have been killed in a crystal tunnel immediately. However, thete is a show the writers have to make. So a lot of talk and no real action. Since it's the end of season 4, a part 2 is needed. As with shows dating back to the silent film era of Tom Mix, this is precisely what occurs. Until next season, have fun!

This is bad writing
Ucurian12 December 2021
Warning: Spoilers
How can this episode have such a high rating? The whole plot about Tanith is utterly BS. Why tell him the secret plan in the first place? How could the Tok'ra be so dumb to let him escape? Why wait to set the sun explosion 45 min after the arrival of Apophis? Shortly after he realised that the planet is abandond, why would he stay there, waiting for the sun exploding?

Questions over questions the writer should have asked themselfs.... All the resulting problems could have been so easily avoided if the writer came up with better writing...
