I just finished watching this Wiseguy arc (all five episodes) yesterday, and I decided to come on here and write a comment. Jerry Lewis is incredibly good in his role as Eli Sternberg, a Jewish tycoon in the garment industry who gets set up for a crime he didn't commit. There are so many great moments as the story unfolds, but what makes it work is how superbly Lewis plays off Ron Silver as his son. It almost didn't matter that Ken Wahl is missing in three of the episodes. As the events led up to a powerful conclusion in the fifth episode, I began to wish Jerry Lewis had not been so identified with comedy, because this man is a great dramatic actor. He brought me to tears several times in more than one episode. What an outstanding performer he is.
