Ah yes, my friend Alex's favorite episode (for some reason...). Despite being a 9/10, this episode is one of the lower episodes on my series ranking for the characters, everything else is banger like always.

This episode is kinda... strange, especially for being the season premiere. For one thing, Lola is a jerk to Brandy and Whiskers by telling them that everyone knew about the mall and just didn't tell them until now. She also doesn't really play a big part in the story, so I don't even know why she wasn't included. This isn't even a case where she's Brandy's voice of reason in even weaker episodes such as "Net of Lies", she outright just does nothing to get Brandy out of her mindset, all she does is ask "Say Brandy, don't you think you should get back to work? It seems like Whiskers has his hands full".

Which leads me to the biggest problem of this episode: Brandy. Here's the thing, Brandy is my favorite character in show, but after episodes like "Freaky Tuesday" where they went to therapy about how to be a better friend and "Happy Birthdays" where she learned to not be such an oaf to her friends. In this episode, she is so unwilling to work for a living that she leaves to have Whiskers do all the work for her. Which leads to him being sleep deprived and acting like the average high schooler who just needs some Starbucks. This is a possible candidate for her worst appearance in the show, definitely of season 2... and this is the premiere.

Why is this still a 9/10 you may ask? Well, this episode's got some beautiful looking animation. We get a different setting for 95% of the episode and the colors of the mall just pop in this episode. To where it makes the mall's next appearance after the first two segments, "Pop Goes The Jungle", look like it was colored by monkeys. I also really like how they actually hop the number of times stated they hop on the pogo stick in the Cucina. It's a very subtle detail that I really like. But, my favorite thing without a doubt is their uniform. I love how well the blue, yellow, and magenta work with each other. This show is really good at color coordination. I'll even go as far to say it's "The Loud House" levels, and that show's got some nice animation. It is also very funny like most episodes, I especially like some of Brandy's comments and the relatability of the whole episode as a student who's unemployed (just replace work with school). It makes the episode feel "real" in a way.

9/10, want to give it a 10 but the flaw is too major to ignore.
