It begins with a repeat of the last scene in the prior episode. Forbes is getting ready to stake Barnabas. Ben Stokes suddenly appears and stops him. He beats Forbes to death and smothers Natalie du Pres. This will be the last time we see Joel Crothers in the series. His Joe Haskell character was locked up in Windcliff in a strait jacket.
We switch back to present day 1969 as Julia worries Barnabas will not get back from the past. Willie Loomis is back on the show now, thinking Barnabas will be back in his chained coffin again. He is sure when he sees the ghost of Josette. We then see Barnabas trapped in the coffin.
