Alan Fowler is just fourteen years of age, and been found guilty of murdering his School Master, he's sentenced to be hanged by Lord Justice Palmer. The Judge and his family receive death threats, Cork and Marriott are sent to Brighton to protect them.
It's a very interesting story, one that highlights how The British legal system has changed over the years, the thought of a fourteen year old facing the death penalty is shocking.
I like the mystery, and cleverness of the story, we once again are shown how Cork has progressive ideas, very liberal for the time, against capital punishment.
I'm not sure the backgrounds and sets work well on a modern day set, in 1964 on a grainy set I imagine they'd have looked fine.
It's a good watch. 7/10
