Funnest episode of the season so far.
EddyTheMartian00720 November 2019
I was very pleasantly surprised with this episode. There were fun moments (although I think some were overbearing), and even a lot of great character development. I was surprised how much development they have some of the characters who have seemingly been forgotten for the last episodes or even seasons. I especially like how they actually gave Barry his own Important lesson that actually made sense. There were a lot of lessons this episode is, and I thought they were handled well. This episode was just fun and entertaining, which I can't say for most episodes of this show recently. I loved all the Bond references, since I am a big fan of James Bond. The only real problem I have with this episode are more plot holes. A lot of this episode makes no sense, like Ultra Violet not using her powers during their fights, and other things like that, but I've learned to just try to ignore these rampant plot holes, contrivances, conveniences, etc. Overall this was just a very fun episode with a lot of good character development, and some importance to the plot. This is definitely one of the closest we've gotten to Season 1 quality on an average episode like this.

So a decent, filler episode

Warning: Spoilers
I've done reviews for this season's episodes & the past 3 episodes were like the perfect 10/10 for me.

Why: i actually think this episode is kinda weak, not bad(big difference)...BAD EPISODES are like when you notices trashy writing. WEAK EPISODES are like 'boring' 'nothing-happen' episodes and this is one of them.

Pros:

-opens up a a whole new storyline for 6b (the organization)

-barry and ralph

Cons:

-chester and cecile's cringey moments(chester is cringe guy ..i mean thats his character BUT.. I DONT LIKE CECILE..)

-algebra pairing with nash is so random, like why not iris?

-ceceile and chester's subplot is too boring

-nash and algebra's subplot is interesting yet so weird

-barry and ralph's main plot is actually entertaining

In conclusion .. THE FLASH 6a is actually good, 1 weak episode does not affect my opinion on the first parter. And next week we will be getting a major plotline episodes, so im still tuning on that episode

A fun break from a dark season
ComicBookNerd2625 July 2021
While a lot of people tend to say this episode is meh I honestly think it's really good,it provides some good emotional moments and is also just a fun 40 minutes in general. If I had to cut out one thing it would be the Cecile B plot but other than that I enjoyed this episode as I enjoy all Barry and Ralph team ups.

Funniest episode of the season, ignore the haters
cesarekaram20 November 2019
The Flash season 6 has improved the quality of the show a lot and this episode is no excuse, it is funny and sentimental at the same time with great moments, not the best episode, but certainly worth watching! ( looking forward to the next episode and hoping we get an incredible end to Blooswork storyline! 8,5 for this episode

Barry Allen as 007!!
RahulM00720 November 2019
Warning: Spoilers
The sixth episode of the sixth season titled "License to Elongate" was a purely fun, energetic and feel good episode. It mainly focused on Barry and Ralph and their failed attempt to find the missing Sue Deardon. I loved how the episode had a James Bond vibe to it. The moment where Barry is pretending to be drunk was my favourite part of the episode.

Danielle Panabaker directed this episode and did a terrific job. Even though, she directed the episode, her character Killer Frost still appeared. There are quite a few actors from the Arrowverse who directed or will be directing an episode of their show. Melissa Benoist and Caity Lotz are going to be making their directorial debuts on Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow respectively.

This episode further explored the mystery of Nash Wells aka Pariah and how he believes that the Monitor is a fraud and causes the Crisis. Both Barry and Oliver now believe that the Monitor is the enemy even though he is trying to save the multiverse. The whole storyline Nash Wells had with Allegra was quite entertaining. They had some sort of connection together and this stems from the fact that Allegra is presumably the doppelgänger of his daughter on his earth.

After weeks of being in a comatose state, Chester P. Runk finally awoke and discovers his own obituary. Chester P. Runk could replace Cisco as the new tech genius in the future. Cisco could possibly meet his demise in the coming Crisis and Chester P. Runk can fill his shoes and become a member of Team Flash.

I adored the scene where the Flash passes on the torch to the Elongated Man and gives him an emblem for his suit. This was truly a poignant and emotional scene for me. The moment where Joe gives Barry the medal of honour for being brave, heroic and always standing up for what is right was bittersweet.

To conclude, while the episode was mainly filler, it still manages to capture my attention and make me laugh. The comedy in this episode was perfect and was not at all contrived. I loved how the episode referenced James Bond and Mortal Kombat. It was a another solid week for the Flash. The ending scene where Bloodwork tackles the Elongated Man was a great way to end the episode. I am enthused to see what the two part mid-season finale will entail.

Strange episode
plamen-7900420 November 2019
The previous time Danielle Panabaker directed an episode she did a really good job but thats not the case this time. It felt reallyyyy strange and even awkward at times 7/10 for the great acting.

Meh
lolifiedboss20 November 2019
This episode could've been really good without the whole Cecile romance stuff going on it's so irrelevant, the show is called "The Flash" for a reason that's why the views have gone down over the years. I liked the Wells part as that was pretty interesting and of course the main story was really good with the great Bond references and the plot, also please use more Muse songs in the future.

Authoric26 September 2020
You can tell by the title, this is an episode including agent-like crimes and battles. I really enjoyed this episode. Probably one of my favourite episodes of the season, actually. It was a James Bond-like film which was displayed brilliantly without the use of powers and taking down villains the old fashioned way.

RalphxBarry episodes are always great
Kiiiraaa21 November 2019
The two definitely make a funny duo on screen. I really like these episodes because despite being relatively predictable they still don't lack in character development. Ralph and Barry are such different people that they bring out the best in each other. This season has been amazing with unique episodes, emotional und entertaining scenes so far. In s4 and s5 the villains were sort of annoying because of how boring they were. But the show has stepped up its game. Despite the rating/s of others, I hope we will get more episodes like this. People need to understand that the show isn't just about The Flash but about Team Flash. Without the Team, the show would be boring and Barry wouldn't be able to save all the people that he does end up saving.

Why?Why?Why?
rorygunn21 November 2019
Why is it with such a rich universe to draw from that the producers of this show keep doing episodes like this?Supposedly The Flash disappears in the Crisis so you would think there would be a build up to this but no.Instead they do goofy episodes like this...And it's a shame because so many great stories could be told and their not.

Best episode of the season so far
valentin-iljukic26 December 2019
This episode concentrates on characters beside the Flash. It shows that an episode can be fun even without Flash as a main role. It definitely irritates me how much Barry has said the line "I must teach you" throughout this season. But all in all very suspense episode with great ending and funny scenes. I can understand why people are putting great episodes in shadow due to previous failures. But this one was fun to watch.

Ranking/Reviewing every Flash episode: License To Elongate
lbramson25 June 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Will this season ever stop with awesomeness? Barry and Ralph go undercover in a James Bond-esk adventure. Funniest episode since "Cause and Effect" from Season 3! I love the James Bond parody! I love the Ring of Fire joke! I love Fake Drunk Barry! "Five Hundred Million and one...dollar. Price Is Right Rules." And of course, who doesn't love the Mortal Kombat reference? Episode 6 isn't filled with intense moments or shocking twists and turns, but it's fun. So fun. And that's all that matters! Last episode was "objectively better", but this one was way more enjoyable! Wow! Season 6 is really good so far!

7.9/10-Good!👍

Worst episode so far
alexpaez20 November 2019
Warning: Spoilers
This episode focused so much in being a bond parody that it turned the entire thing into a cheap joke, Barry is now an incompetent man that can't do anything with or without powers, and the ending with the press conference is the worst part, might as well remove the mask in front of everybody

filler episode with little value
keithsonatra20 November 2019
Warning: Spoilers
This episode was full of cringe moments and filler content. JUST SO YOU KNOW ON MY SCALE FIVE STARS IS LIKE SAYING THE EPISODE WAS JUST OK. FOUR AND BELOW MEANS BAD AND SIX AND UP IS LEADING TO GREATNESS. THERE WAS NO CISCO RAMON IN THIS EPISODE, FLASH WAS USELESS TO THE POINT OF BUMBLING, JOES WIFE DOES SOME DUMB STUFF AND NOTHING REALLY MEANINGFUL HAPPENS UNTIL THE END. OH AND THE NEW WELLS GIVES UP FLASH'S IDENTITY LIKE ITS NOTHING. NOT TO MENTION THE OVER USED JAMES BOND THEME ATTEMPT AND THE WAY THEY MASSACRED HIS DIALOGUE. I REALLY DID NOT ENJOY WATCHING THIS COMPARED TO HOW MUCH I HAVE ENJOYED THIS SHOW IN THE PAST, AND WHO EVER WROTE THIS IS PART OF THE REASON THE ARROWVERSE IS DECLINING. THE FLASH IS STILL THE BEST SHOW BUT THEY BETTER STOP MAKING DUMB MISTAKES LIKE IN THIS FARCE.
