I'm impressed with how personable, lively and simply positive the regular characters are on this police procedural series, a welcome change from the neurotic or merely fake-chatty counterparts on American shows. Keep up the good work!
At first I didn't recognize the star Lucy Lawless, indelibly printed in my mind as the brunette warrior of "Xena". Thankfully she's not typecast and allowed to age gracefully.
Story of the murdered bicyclist/industrial big shot is intriguing and offers plenty of screen time for bike riding, as is Lucy playing top cop Alexa and her offbeat approach to investigation. The local color is well-photographed and diverting. And a nice use of technology to help solve the crime.
The script concept around "romancing a murderer" was quite a grabber, and Lucy makes it believable.
