Nancy Blows It
kgraovac14 November 2023
Dot quits her job to focus on her acting career full-time; Ginger confesses her addiction to shoe shopping; Nancy questions her own authority; Sonny pens a musical based on Attila the Hun.

Another average episode that has so many subplots the main plot isn't developed enough. Dot quits, but then all she does is stay home and complain when the girls don't visit her every day.

The subplot about Nancy feeling ineffectual is the funniest. It's great seeing Jan being very aggressive with Nancy - it must have been payback for how poorly Jan was treated way back in Season 1. Nancy does get in a good dig at Jan though: "The only trouble I'll have firing you is finding someone short enough to fit into that dress".

We learn in this episode that Jan has quit law school for the time being and also that Nancy is seeing a therapist named Dr. Tishman.

It's cute when Ginger says she plans to be late for work once a week as a memorial to Dot; and later when Dot comes in early and doesn't know what "set-up" is. Another great moment is when Nancy has the perfect opportunity to fire Dot but can't go through with it.

Sonny, Amy and Ginger actually sound very good performing the songs from "Attila".
