10/10 just for the boulder

Return of the king. Apparently I need 600 characters which is absurd. I suppose I'll continue to explain why the boulder is THE BEST avatar character. The Boulder is Brave. The Boulder is Bold. The Boulder is Bodacious. The Boulder is a Lover. The Boulder is also a fighter. The Boulder asks the important questions. The Boulder has a physique resembling that of a boulder. The Boulder is Beautiful. Only 201 characters left, lucky for me I could go on about The Boulder all day. The Boulder brightens my day. The Boulder has the most complex character arcs that has graced television. The Boulder arrived on our screens as a naive man, fighting for the amusement of those who do not care about him. His 180 to becoming a Beast of a man who refused to fight for the entertainment of those he once did for is compelling.

It's important to know that the Fire Nation knew the attack was happening because the Earth King told it to Azula when he thought she was a Kyoshi warrior. The palace being empty is normal.

The Invasion

The Good 1) Easter Eggs to (almost) every previous episode 2) The plan for the eclipse makes sense 3) There's pay-off for Sokka's technical ingenuity 4) "Sokka's instincts" finally get the respect they deserve 5) Appa having armour to defend him from Firebender attacks (nice touch, Sokka) 6) Eveything about Iroh 7) Everything about Azula 8) Aang shaving his head and revealing himself as the Avatar once more 9) The humour of the episode was funny 10) Zuko's confrontation with his father (more on that in the next episode review.)

The Bad 1) The Earth King really should have told Team Avatar that he had told the disguised Azula about their plan for the Day of Black Sun 2) Even if the Earth King weren't smart enough for that, Katara should have remembered that Azula got her scroll detailing the plans for the invasion

All in all, it's a pretty good episode.

This episode is pretty good. It hits good emotional beats with Sokka+Suki and especially Zuko. The rest is a fairly compelling battle, except they should have been aware that the Fire Lord knew that the solar eclipse invasion would happen, right?
