More meh.

No spoilers here but damn this show is losing momentum. The last couple of seasons have been gradually going downhill and this season is no better. It's almost like they write a good 3 episode story and then stretch it to a full season and just fluff it out with rubbish.

Not bad
jdtech1 May 2020
I didn't think this one was too bad. It was a little slow to start but kept building up and building up. To me this felt like less of a flash episode and more of an episode out of a detective show. Rag doll was a great addition and made it worth watching. The ending is also a nail biter. Overall 7/10

This is one of those episodes you get bit by bit stories that will lead to the grand finale.

Warning: Spoilers
I know it's a show based in comic books but that really took me out of the groove for the rest of the episode.

Although he might be one of the best TV dad's ever Joe West IS NOT a SUPERHERO!!

So Good!!!!!

I personally loved this episode! It was so intense with the return of (spoiler) who is very creepy especially in this episode. There were also a few jaw dropping reveals and moments throughout which made this one of the best episodes of the season in my opinion.

Never hire a woman director.
asb_deutsch22 April 2020
First of all, after a one month break, welcome back Flash fans! There is a trend going on- Grodd, then Kid Flash, then Harrison Wells and now Rag Doll. Seems that the writers are out of ideas and simply reverting back to the previous seasons.

There wasn't proper screen time for Mr. Rag Doll in S05E05 so maybe the writers/director tried to re-invent his character. The effects were cool and creepy also.

The writers also need to respect the audience's I.Q. level. How can a normal person bear the pain of a bullet? Also, jump out of a vehicle that is running at 120 miles per hour?

Sadly, I am losing interest and now everything feels forced, except for the dialogue between Barry and Joe. I hope this doesn't turn out to be the next Arrow. If so, then it is better to end it with Season 6 instead of creating superficial arcs.

Time to bring in Tom Canavagh for the director's seat.

Rag Doll's back!
jwwalrath-227-8548722 April 2020
Pretty good episode. Moves things along nicely. I love Rag Doll, he's so creepy and his fight scenes look pretty darn good, effects-wise, for network TV. Ralph and Cisco have a subplot and they work great together.

Really enjoyed the Episode but that ending
naydenlover4 October 2020
So this season has been a lot of highs and a few lows but this one was AMAZING until the last scene with Iris, it had me screaming and seriously she is PUSHING it for me and I really can't wait for this "mirror Iris" to be gone cause that was just cold what she did to Barry. You could tell she was trying to get him to use his speed but I know, the real Iris and even if she's not my favourite character, would never left him over do his speed. Rag doll seeing him again was brillant and also creepy watching

Joe centric!!
jelanielove15 September 2020
It made me so happy for an episode to be focused on Joe. It feels like so long since we got that and I loved every minute of it. The end scene with Grant and Candice show why they're the leads and how talented they are. If only awards got to go to cw shows!

Warning: Spoilers
The writing of this show is getting so awful. This might as well been a bad Scooby Doo episode with Joe West getting the bad guy to confess (I would have got away with it if it wasn't for you damn kids!). Not to mention jumping out of a car going 120mph and being perfectly fine. Getting shot in the arm and shrugging it off.

Intense episode
cesarekaram22 April 2020
Rag doll was pretty creppy, and his storyline with Joe was intense. Jesse L Martin acting was great and the cast did a good job.

I am interested in the Carver and Eva relationship and looking forward to see where it goes

By far the worst episode this season.
GomezAddams66623 April 2020
I'm sorry but this one seems criminally underwhelming.

Good god, this was the series that introduced me to The Arrowverse, it used to be my favorite, now it's speedily becoming the least favorite. This whole season is by far worse than season 3. I... I can't believe we waited weeks for this episode and towards the end of the season it is delivering some of the worst episodes of the entire series.

Eric Wallace, the Executive Producer has to go...

I'm rating this episode 2 out of 10.

"Run, Barry, run from the HACK writers that have destroyed the show and turned into into crap.

Wow
jtcahill-2948922 April 2020
Warning: Spoilers
This is a great episode, probably the best in the back half. The episode had 2 main storylines, and both were good.

The minor one involved Ralph and Cisco investigating Sue. It was a decent storyline at first, but then we got a scene of Ralph and Sue which furthered their relationship. I'm excited to see where this goes.

The major storyline drastically furthered the Carver storyline. It saw Ragdoll being hired to kill Joe. In the background, Carver was worried about what Joe's investigation could mean for Black Hole.

About Ragdoll, he was a good villain. I just want to say that this episode made up for his mediocre use in season 5. The no-speed fight was good. The scenes after Joe took Cecile's place on the pressure bomb were actually very intense, and I genuinely did not know what would happen then.

The arguments between Barry and Joe were great as well. We really haven't gotten any scenes between them like this since the 4th episode of this season.

Then we get to the best part, the ending. We had 3 cliffhangers. The most shocking one, in my opinion, was the reveal that Singh is working with Eva. I'm assuming that this is the Mirror Singh. I'm very excited to see where this goes, and it could be confirmation that Patrick Sabongui will be returning more this season. The next cliffhanger showed the complicated relationship between Carver and Eva. It wasn't that exciting, but it definitely contributed to plot development.

Now, the end credits scene. An argument between Barry and Iris. I felt like the show had been lacking these. Gustin and Patton are both great actors, and their abilities really shine in scenes like this. Mirror Iris is trying to get Barry to use his speed, and does this by trying to convince Barry to search the city for Joe. When Barry refuses, she kicks him out. This is a really creative way to set up Barry realizing the truth about her.

In conclusion, this is a really great episode that really furthered the plot if the season, and brought back old characters and used them well. I'll give it a 9/10.

I honestly have no idea what is going on during this season anymore
soonerblake007-128 April 2020
Where is this season going??? It's all so confusing. Who's the main villain? Why is Barry losing his speed??? None of this season is cohesive. Too many smaller storylines trying to go on at once. I've written off this series as the worst one yet.

It's worth the wating.Sue and eva are so good .I also feel pretty sympathy for Barry's moving out by the way.The back ground music is a breakthrough, but it also has room for improvement.Hope the rest of the episodes can be better.

A Vulnerable Flash!
RahulM00722 April 2020
Warning: Spoilers
After a 5-week break, the Flash is finally back with one of its most emotional episodes ever. This episode had multiple tear jerkers. From Joe West leaving Central City to Barry and Iris separating for the time being, this episode was a sob fest for me.

Ralph Dibny finally returned in this episode after being absent for three episodes. He teamed up with Cisco to find Sue Dibny and figure out what she is planning. Ralph and Cisco's bromance is great and has not been seen as of late. They are one of the more under appreciated bromances in the Arrowverse. Ralph's heart to heart talk with Sue further developed their relationship. The spark between them is definitely there during that scene. I hope Ralph will introduce Sue to Team Flash and take down the Black Hole organisation together.

I never in a million years would have guessed that Captain Singh is the mole of the CCPD. This opens up so many different avenues. How long has he worked for Blackhole? Is he being manipulated by Eva McCulloch?

Ragdoll's return in this episode was perfect. He is one of the better recurring metahumans of the series. Ragdoll is a far better fit than Amunet Black. He was ordered by Joseph Carver to assassinate Joe West and get him out of the picture. It isn't entirely clear what Joseph Carver's motive is, but I guess that will be revealed in the coming episodes. Sadly, episode 19 will be the finale this year. I hope we will still get to see the last three episodes someday.

Barry's speed has seriously deteriorated since last episode. He almost lost his adoptive father Joe West. I really thought that Joe West would die in this episode. Luckily, he did not. There was no sub-plot about creating a new speed force, as it was hinted at in episode 15. I wonder how Barry will regain his speed, now that it is almost gone.

To conclude, it was another solid week for the Flash. I'll admit I am not fully invested in the Black hole storyline, but hope that the last three episodes change my mind. I presume that Barry will finally find out about Mirror-Iris next episode due to her sudden decision to kick him out of their house. It is rather strange that Barry has not yet realised a change in behaviour in Iris. I am enthused to find out what happens next regarding Barry and Iris's relationship. Will Barry phase into the mirror and save the real Iris?

Final verdict: 8.7/10

Ralph and Cisco together....Does not computer...boom
garabedian12323 April 2020
Wow...what an episode. First the flash loses his powers..gets it back...loses it again...and thats the episode....wow!

So inconsistent. Can Ragdoll stretch like Ralph...then why add all the bone crunching sound effects? His powers changed.

This episode was so funny in how bad it was. The funniest part was at the end. Barry takes Lucile and leaves Joe because "the flash definitely cannot carry more than 1 person". And he takes her away from the bomb, away from the city...20 miles out...thats a bit much for a tiny little bomb, and naturally he cant make it back in time and Joe dies. Thats what should have happened. ..You really want to keep making excuses for Joe's character to leave the show for extended periods of time....lame

Sigh... The show is called The Flash, right?
fcharette196930 April 2020
What is the use of having the title character be this useless in his own show. The writers have completely lost their creative focus, trying to tell multiple stories instead of focusing on the heart of this show, say THE FLASH.

I know I am coming across as a broken record, but they need to reboot the timeline, restore the multiverse and allow the Flash and the team return to doing what made them great. This current storyline is the pits, the characters are growing to be less and less likable. When a second-rate villan is the best part of the episode, and this mostly because if the soecial-effects, you know there is a problem.

Yeah.

Warning: Spoilers
So...Joe is indestructible. He saved his own life and stopped his impending death from crashing into a concrete barrier at 120 miles per hour by jumping out of it. At 120 mph. Cool. Asphalt is apparently softer than concrete. Then our brilliant police captain refuses to enter witsec because by god, he won't be bullied. That's cool, baddies never go after family members anyway so they should totally be safe. But now Joe is angry. So angry he firmly puts down his badge on top of a picture of Joseph Carver and goes after the man himself in his home. He gets him to admit all his nefarious schemes, then decides to celebrate by immediately pulling out his phone and bragging that he recorded him admitting his nefarious scheme. Then he's shocked...SHOCKED that he somehow no longer has that recording to use because Carver had the gall to destroy it.

Don't forget, this is all after Joe has been shot. Which he seems to forget except when the script tells him to remember. It's fine, there's a ton of other things going on, like Ragdoll somehow gaining new powers and able to elongate himself to catch whatever prey he is after. Or Nash and his sudden inability to form complete sentences whenever Allegra is around. Or Cecile deciding to hide the baby where surely no one would find her...at another daughter's house. Iris's personality is pretty much exactly the same so at least there's no change there. There was a wonderful emotional moment where Joe took Cecile's place on a pressure bomb by doing the Macarena or whatever it is they did and luckily he was able to disarm the bomb by finding an off switch. Joe's wife being kidnapped and almost dying has finally made Joe realize that he needs to go into hiding. Without his wife. Who was just kidnapped. And placed on a bomb. And left there to die. That's a little self-absorbed, Joe.

I love this show. I can overlook the dumbest things, like Team Flash and Super Friends apparently destroying all evil threats with the power of their feelings. That Care Bear Stare they did in Crisis was a real nail-biter. I cannot abide by the fact that they made Joe an idiot. Who is even writing this stuff? Season 6 has been all over the place for me. I just want to forget it exists and move onto season 7 already.

The title perfectly states that state of the show. Not even a concentrated double dose of wolverine's regenerative power can revive this show now.
