What this show does well is the comedy. And the acting. And the story. And the whole show in general. It's up there with The Goes Wrong Show in my favourite current BBC comedies. Everything about it is great. I absolutely recommend to anyone and everyone.

After episode 3 not quite hitting the heights, we're firmly back on track with this one. The comedy element is reinforced and done real big drama comes to the fore..
And as a bonus, the use of OMD's song 'souvenir' in this one is quite exquisite.. the story of the record player is just wonderful..
Still great.

Loving this series, it just keeps on giving. This episode is a good mixture of comedy, crime drama and intrigue. This is starting to get serious for the characters. There are a lot of "life lessons" being learned from this Programme.
Episode 1.4

I have found The Outlaws to be uneven so far. Maybe because it has difficulties trying to find the right balance between comedy and drama.
Even this episode struggles but at least the comedy works better but it has jolts of violence.
There is a nice flashback scene of Frank with his daughter playing an OMD song which results him stealing a record player from a store.
Frank shows his not so nice side to Gregory who is forced to launder money for him.
At least Christian gets a fair idea regarding who stole the money he hid. His sister discovers that no good comes out of mixing with gangsters.
Stephen Merchant seems to be the focus of lot of the comedy in this episode. I have to agree with Lady Gabriella, he looks nothing like Harry Potter.
