Episode 209

Warning: Spoilers
Miracle Workers: Dark Ages is a show that has had its highs and its lows, just like any comedy on TV right now. This episode really summed that up. There were some scenes that absolutely worked, and some scenes that did not.

I wish we got more development from the King here. Unfortunately we never got much personality, we got nothing but stern jokes throughout. I feel like there was a lot of depth there and avenues they could explore, but the show never seemed to want to go there.

A funny episode to set up the finale, and I am really hoping that it ends on a quality note. I keep wanting to love Miracle Workers: Dark Ages, but right now I am just liking it.

Weakest episode of the season, so far.

Warning: Spoilers
Well, at least the war with the Valdrogians is back as a focus rather than an off-screen, imminent threat that may or may not be important in the grander scheme of things. At least it is also coming to a close. I never thought I would care that it hasn't been a focus, but now I feel like there was too little of it. And looking back on it, it was quite entertaining as a focus, when it was a focus, and when the season began.

This was undoubtedly the weakest episode of the season. Its only purpose was for there to be somewhat of a parallel between Al and Prince Chauncley where she is doing what she wants and he still does what his father wants him to do, only for him, at last, to break free.

Anyway, I suspect the way the finale will end is that the war will be over, perhaps with everyone on both sides dead, and in the very last scene, Al and Prince Chauncley will reconcile, and there will be a kiss. What do you think?
