Chase the Sackler Family Off The Earth
NanoFrog17 November 2021
This series does a heart-rending and outrage-producing tour of the invention, distribution, astronomical wealth and absolute corruption, evil and tragedies of Oxycontin, a pain drug that is highly addictive and dangerous. One of the most sterling examples of Evil shown in this final episode is how the Sackler President, the Sackler Dirt Bag who invented Oxycontin sly removes himself as an officer in the corporation because he knows criminal charges and liability is coming down the road. He gets out of his own way and therby saves his family fortune in the billions of dollars and is immune from lawsuits. The examination of the attorney prosecuters and the lives of the victims are told with clarity and it has just done a fine job all around. Hopefully the pressure will continue to shame, pursue and punish the Sackler family for this crime against humanity.

My only friend, the End.

The moment these mini-series started, I was "hooked". This is a story beyond comprehension. Reviewing this is easy. Plot, storylines, acting and the filming is all done exceptionally well and close to perfection. Especially the acting of Michael Keaton (Dr. Finnix), Will Poulter (Billy) and Peter Sarsgaard (US attorney) Rick. Michael Stuhlbarg, who plays Richard Sachler, also delivers and outstanding performance. My complements to the latter as this is a role not easy to play. A tiny Appalachian mining town, targeted by Purdue as part of its mission to overcome doctors' reluctance to prescribe opioids is just a drop in the bucket but very well used to feel like this could (and was or is still) happen to anybody. Over the eight episodes this story is so well construed that it is still very difficult to believe this could happen. Makes you think about all the things happening right now and we are unaware of. And finally, Danny Strong. Unbelievable writing and directing! You MUST watch this! 10/10 rating without any doubt.

....And the home of the skumbags of the world.

This is another proof of everything wrong with America. Guns, Trump, sugar-industry and pharmacy-industry. A sad world with some sad people on the top!!!

Infuriating to say the lease

This series is an amazing telling of a story as old as Rockafeller himself, the father of 'modern' medicine. Evil is evil. Nobody though will see the irony of the fact that its not just addictive drugs they push. What's really sad is that today big pharma along with paid for governments are repeating this same scenario with another 'medicine' that is harming the nations and due to big advertising and funding of numbers millions are rolling up their sleeves protected by the billions they line pockets with. Oblivious!
