The Friendship Algorithm

Jim Parsons is on absolute top form here as Sheldon in a wonderful episode.

So many sharp lines and interactions, this was a joy.

When it was good this series was very good indeed.

Well worth a watch.

The Friendship Algorithm (#2.13)

Warning: Spoilers
In this episode we got to see more Kripke which is great. Loved the algorithm Sheldon created to make friends. Him trying to make friends with a little girl in a store was also funny. Kripke was pretty awesome. I loved how he talked to Penny when he met her and Howard said that he doesn't look so bad anymore.

Sheldon believes that if he can befriend Kripke he will be given permission to use a high tech computer owned by the University. He attempts to make Kripke (a totally unlikable person and enemy of the guys) a new friend. Since he has no idea how to do this he creates a flow chart. Eventually, the two guys go rock climbing at a health club. Also, Sheldon has his current friends do an extensive survey which features ideas about him. Watch to see what some of the questions are.

The Friendship Algorithm is another great episode of "The Big Bang Theory"

Warning: Spoilers
In this episode, Sheldon tries to make friends with Barry Kripke since Kripke has a computer at the university that Sheldon wants to use. Since Sheldon is not exactly a social butterfly, he passes questionnaires to his friends to find out what they like about him but none of them take it seriously. So Sheldon and Leonard go to a bookstore where Sheldon seems to get along with a pre-teen girl there but since that kind of situation invites danger, Leonard takes Sheldon away. Sheldon does find a suitable children's book that he uses to make a diagram to find out Kripke's interests over the phone. Unfortunately, Sheldon ends up on a loop so Howard draws "least objectionable activity" on the board which turns out to be pretend rock climbing. As Kripke and Sheldon do that, Sheldon suddenly finds out he's afraid of heights and passes out! Luckily, he has a harness on him so he can be lowered down. With Kripke a new friend, Sheldon has to drop one of his five. Howard hopes it's him and Penny, not being "one of the boys" thinks it's her but it's Raj who incorrectly answered one of the questions. He gets back in, however, when Barry reveals he doesn't control the schedule and besides, Raj likes monkeys...This was another hilarious episode. Loved the beginning when Sheldon and Raj argue over favorite pudding and when Sheldon tries to explain his side, everyone else mentions Howard's wanting a mustasche while Sheldon hyperventilates! We also find out Sheldon doesn't like whistling so when he's gone, Leonard, Howard, and Raj do that to "Sweet Georgia Brown" which gets a huge applause from the studio audience. That was a great scene. One more thing, when Kripke flirts with Penny and they introduce each other, he doesn't like her name and suddenly calls her "Roxanne". Howard then says sotto voice, "Guess I'm not so bad after all." which gets a smirk from Kaley Cuoco that was probably out of character. It works, though, so it's all good! So on that note, The Frindship Algorithm was another excellent episode of "The Big Bang Theory."
