"It's not that hard.If you get your ego out of the way."

Warning: Spoilers
As a farewell episode for Ned, this fails on every level. He doesn't even appear until halfway through and hardly anyone shows up to say goodbye to him.We aren't even told for sure he's not coming back. And the flashbacks are rather perfunctory and don't even bother to include Janae.

As for the rest of the Parkers, is it too simplistic to say Steve and Bridget are overreacting?I don't think so.They seem to have turned against her and forgotten fifteen happy years together very quickly on the basis of a secret from the distant past. The plotting that allows Bridget to move in with Declan is lazy and illogical. Why is Rebecca agreeing to let her move in(a)when it means shacking up with her boyfriend and(b)at all?Although it's not half as lazy as the non-existent explanation for Bridget's crutches, presumably to cover up a real life injury to Eloise Mignon.

There's an odd scene between Harold and Kate and a nice random moment from Donna, fast becoming one of the best things about the show. And Susan is behaving like a proper mother for once, supporting Rachel without going along with everything she says or pursuing her own agenda.Although her reaction to Rachel and Angus' reunion suggests she's not entirely comfortable with things.
