The thing that made this episode was that Melissa and Chyler were great with the ending scene (although that scene was too short) and scenes between Supergirl and her Dad were great. The scenes that showed what the crew imagined was entirely too long and boring. Instead of seeing an awaited long scene between the two sisters (Kara and Alex) there were scenes that were very stupid like Brainy being scared of balloons. These scenes made it so there wasn't time left for a longer scene between SuperGirl reuniting with her sister. Again the writer do not understand that we would love if the show centered around SuperGirl. The first episodes of season 6 could be called the Adventures of the Supporting crew of SuperGirl. Again, the focus of the episode is on supporting cast and not the main star (SuperGirl).

Highlights: finally kara came back, I loved Alex fighting for that to happen, and also Lena's solo scenes, Katie is an excellent actress.
Low points: the lack of Supergirl fight scenes, one of the most important things on the show, I miss them a lot. She now is out of the phantom zone, I hope that writers will focus on Kara's battles again.

JQ was caught lying once again.
"While speaking to EW, Queller stated that Supergirl "is going to really sacrifice her life and put her life on the line to save her friends and humanity." She continued, "That challenge, she's going to face her mortality in a way we've never done on the show," she continued. "That's really the focus of the first run of seven episodes. It's life or death stakes for Kara, and it's very introspective. So, all of the soul searching and taking stock of the past six years will happen in the beginning, and then she'll put it all into play in the second half." - quote from the article published in march on cbr.
All that was described and promised above never happened. There was no soul searching. There was no taking stock of Anything. There wasn't even a solid Kara-centric storyline to be honest. What little we got of Kara was rather used to introduce us to Zor-El and Nyxly aka new characters that literally no one asked for. Imagine hating your own characters and what's little left of the fanbase so much. Shame on you, Jessica. It's no wonder Melissa isn't promoting the final season at all (except for the obligatory contractual intervews). This was a terrible first part of the final season, the reunion scene was so anticlimactic that even David Harewood expressed his displeasure on social media.
I don't know anyone who is truly excited to tune back in in August to watch the rest of the season. It feels more like a chore rather than entertainment. Kelly's Guardian is the only thing that keeps me going but I'm sure they'll manage to ruin her one way or another, too. It's the only thing they are good at.
That being said, the actors (Katie and Azie especially) did a phenomenal job this episode which only furthers my frustration because it highlights how amazing this show could've been if the cast had better showrunners, better writers and was in hands of the company that'd care about Supergirl as much as they do about Superman.

From start to finish I was riveted. Def one of the best episodes of the whole series. Extremely proud of Kara, Kelly and Lena. They showed what strong, capable and powerful women can do. Alex and Nia were amazing too but got to give all the credit to the first 3. Jhon stole the show with his awesomeness and Brainy made me laugh a couple of times. And I'm happy Kara is finally out of there. Now we wait the long 3 months until it's back.

Amazing acting and directing!! Shout-out to David for the directing! His combination with everyone else's acting was spectacular!! I especially loved Katie's way of expressing Lena's fear for drowning! Amazing!! Although they may have cut out a scene the fans were hoping for, it was worth the episode.

Supergirl began its demise with season one and its first episode.
In the Action Comics we managed to survive from 1938 and far, far forward without a Phantom Zone. Smallville gave it the best treatment. Sadly, the writers of Smallville did not entertain an offer for the DCU. The Flash managed a good story line on the coat tails of Arrow. I am always glad when actors get work, especially consistent work, allowing them a life. That is the only good part of this show. Why two stars? They showed up, on time and knowing their lines. That's worth something.

WTF this masterclass of supergirl, I have never thinking that supergirl would be make an genius episode like that, that's so smarts and intense, lot of emotional moment and turning point, I'm really choqued of this episode, and the Fx was pretty great.
Of course Nyx will be a problem now

So sad this is the mid season we'll have to wait all Summer until it comes back! Will this is a bit repetitive with everyone experiencing their fears I still love it and love that Kara is finally okay! But of course we didn't see Nyx die so she has to end up on top of the ship so that will be a problem for 2nd half of this season!
