This episode gets a 10/10 for steamy moments, but with a whack storyline and questionable motives, it stays at a 7/10 overall. Loving Freydis' transformation and the new dynamic of the Vikings.

As The Sword Is Carried By The Cross...

Okay this ep. Has some MEAT to it. First of all you have a pretty good chick fight. Then a hot bath. Then a tad bit of skin. Mostly from the male side tho. Then the SEER.
'Even Christians cannot resist picking my bones for a glimpse of their destiny'
Funny how that works. Then in the name of the LORD....the Pagans must be slaughtered.
Okay the next skin scene does not pass muster. Sad but true.
And the prodigal brother returns. 5/10.

Warning: Spoilers
Great show until suddenly we are hit with a black woman empowerment episode.
Powerful black woman jarl Haakon has a vision. All her character does is smile in a powerful manner by the way. The speech at the feast was from some random plus sized black woman. I thought they were vikings? The fight was worse. The black woman is (surprise surprise) the last duelist standing. Pulls out a fancy move just when she's about to be defeated (yes the black woman happens to be the only duelist with moves). When she is defeated, she nods, like she had a choice in her own defeat. Bih you defeated do you mind? Camera moves to smiling Haakon like "yes yes you are only defeated because you let it happen". Show was great until this episode. Hopefully it stops. Do we need such things. Just be normal. We don't need to be smacked over the head with empowerment. Please.
Salador Saan from Game of Thrones. Consider that as "representation" or characterwork done right.
**New edit**: get this. There was no black woman "jarl Hakon" according to the history books. Hakon is also a male name. What a defilement of Nordic history. Just do it properly. It is my personal opinion that "representation" over historical accuracy in this form is a big big thumbs down. 👎 When will TV shows stop? Can she at least stop that having that smug expression on her face every scene she's in?????👎👎👎👎👎🚽🚽🚽🚽🚽
